Hamid Javaid is a former general of the Pakistan Army who served as the Chief of Staff to President Pervez Musharraf from September 2001 to December 2007. He is known for his efforts to promote transparent governance and to foster cooperative relations between civil and military sectors. Additionally, he initiated significant military projects such as the Al-Zarrar and Al-Khalid tanks while directing Heavy Industries Taxila. In 2011, he became the President of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital in Rawalpindi.
