Halbert Leo Alexander (1922-1953) was a U.S. Army Air Forces and U.S. Air Force officer, recognized as a fighter pilot with the all-African American Tuskegee Airmen. He served courageously with the 332nd Fighter Group during and after World War II, including a posting in England and active service in Italy. Alexander was part of the inaugural "Top Gun" competition team in 1949. His contributions are part of the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, who fought for both victory overseas and civil rights at home.
