William Harrel "Hal" Toenes (1917-2004) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played for the Washington Senators in MLB. He began his career in 1937, but his progression was interrupted by World War II service. In 1946, he won 16 games at Double-A Chattanooga and debuted in MLB in 1947. Throughout his short MLB career, he pitched in three games, including one start against the Boston Red Sox, and ended with a total of 6 2/3 innings, allowing 11 hits and five earned runs.
