Harold W. 'Bud' Cooper was an American football player known for his time at the University of Detroit, where he played college football from 1933 to 1936. He went on to play professionally for the Detroit Lions in 1937. Beyond his athletic career, Cooper served as a police officer in Detroit from 1937 until 1964. Born on December 12, 1912, he made significant contributions both in sports and public service until his death on October 2, 1972.
