Hajime Okada (October 8, 1905 - December 4, 1979) was a Japanese researcher specializing in Senryu and mixed haiku poetry. Originally named Haru Chiba, he graduated from Waseda University's language and literature department in 1928 and became a teacher at a mission school in Nagasaki. He began his writing career in 1934 and held editorial positions at various publishing houses. In 1950, he opened a bookstore and established the Modern People's Culture Research Institute, launching the magazine 'Modern People's Culture' in 1951. He also contributed to the appreciation of modern soft literature.
