H. Moh. Anwar Kusumahatmaja was an Indonesian Major General and the 5th Commander of the Marine Corps from 1971 to 1977. Notably, he oversaw the official renaming of the Indonesian Navy's Command Corps (KKO) to Marine Corps on November 15, 1975. Under his leadership, he issued key regulations for organizational and operational command procedures of the Marine Corps, formalized on March 11, 1977. His tenure included involvement in domestic security operations and combat-territorial operations in East Timor starting in 1976.
