Gustav Wilhelm Schimmelpenning (December 18, 1928 – September 16, 2009) was a German neurologist and psychiatrist. He served as the director of the University Neurology Clinic and later the Psychiatric University Clinic in Kiel from 1971 to 1994. He is known for describing the Schimmelpenning-Feuerstein-Mims syndrome in 1957, which is named after him and two American pediatricians, Richard C. Feuerstein and Leroy C. Mims.
