Günther Schwägermann was a member of the Nazi government under German dictator Adolf Hitler. He worked as an assistant to Joseph Goebbels from late 1941. Schwägermann achieved the rank of Captain. He survived World War II and was detained by American authorities from June 25, 1945, until April 24, 1947.
