Günter Pötschke (July 28, 1929 – September 11, 2006) was a German journalist who served as the General Director of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Nachrichtendienst (ADN) from 1977 to 1989, a news agency of the East German government. He was also a member of the Central Committee of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) since 1986. Pötschke's contributions to journalism and his political involvement marked significant aspects of his career in East Germany.
