Grete Schultz Roede (1939–2019) was a Norwegian businesswoman known for her weight loss courses. Born Margarete Schultz in Oslo, she founded Grete Roede AS in 1974 based on her own struggles with weight. She gained the nickname 'Norway's queen of dieting'. In January 2001, she sold the rights to her course concept and business name to her daughter and two others, renaming her new company Margaux AS. Roede battled skin cancer and ovarian cancer, eventually passing away on December 7, 2019, at the age of 80.
