Greta Backman-Dahlgren (1909-1981) was a Finnish schoolteacher and author who wrote in Swedish. She was born to farmer Carl Johan Backman and Fanny Maria Gustafsdotter. After completing her teacher's degree in 1931, she studied at the University of Helsinki between 1936 and 1937. Greta was married to physician John Alvin Dahlgren. Throughout her life, she contributed to education and literature in Finland.
