Greggory D. 'Poncho' Northington was an American professional basketball player born around 1948. He played college basketball for Murray State College, Paul Quinn College, and Alabama State University. Despite being drafted by the New York Knicks in 1971 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972, he did not compete in the NBA. Northington instead carved out a successful professional career overseas, playing in leagues in Mexico, France, and the Netherlands until his passing on February 11, 2017.
