Gösta "Chicken" Törnblad was a Swedish trumpeter born on December 19, 1905, in Stockholm. Growing up in a musical family, he started performing at an early age and developed a passion for jazz. Törnblad became one of the leading early Swedish jazz improvisers, playing with various bands, including those led by Helge Lindberg and Gösta Jonsson, before securing a position at Sveriges Radio. He passed away on October 27, 1984.
