Alfred Gordon Mursell is a retired British Anglican bishop and author, who served as the Bishop of Stafford from 2005 to 2010. Educated at Ardingly College and Brasenose College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1974 and held various positions including Vicar of St John's East Dulwich and Team Rector of Stafford. He also served as Provost and Dean of Birmingham before becoming a bishop. Mursell is a prolific author and enjoys hill walking.
