Glenyys Dorothy Romanes (born 19 December 1945) is a former Australian politician who served as a significant leader in local government and the Victorian Legislative Council. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne. Romanes was mayor of Brunswick and the newly formed Moreland City Council. Elected to the Legislative Council in 1999, she was not re-elected in 2006. In 2021, she was honored as a Member of the Order of Australia for her contributions to the community and parliament.
