Glenys Patricia Arthur (1936-2022) was a pioneering New Zealand neurologist known for her advocacy for women in medicine. She made history as the first woman on the New Zealand Medical Association's executive from 1983 to 1989. Arthur co-founded the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Women's Association, where she served as national president twice. In 1989, she was elected to the Wellington Area Health Board, contributing significantly to the medical community and women's rights within the field.
