Gleb Ivanovich Makarov (September 30, 1925 – April 8, 2015) was a Soviet and Russian scientist, a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and the founder of the radiophysical school at Saint Petersburg State University. He served as the rector of Leningrad State University from 1970 to 1975. Makarov was recognized as an honored scientist of the RSFSR in 1988 and was a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR in 1989 and the Council of Ministers Prize of the USSR in 1986.
