Gladys Meilinger de Sannemann was a Paraguayan physician and human rights activist born in 1929 in Encarnación and passed away in Asunción in 2014. She notably fought against the Stroessner dictatorship and was among the first to provide and publish evidence of Operation Condor, a campaign of political repression across South America. Her work contributed significantly to the human rights movement in Paraguay and shed light on the abuses occurring under authoritarian regimes.
