Girish Chandra Saxena, known as Gary Saxena, was an influential Indian politician and police officer who served as the governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Born on January 5, 1928, in Agra, he joined the Indian Police Service and advanced to become the Director of the Research and Analysis Wing. He held the governorship of Jammu and Kashmir twice, first from May 26, 1990, to March 13, 1993, and again from May 2, 1998, until the end of his term. He passed away on April 14, 2017.
