Giovanna Casotto is an Italian artist and comic book illustrator, born on August 2, 1962, in Desio, Lombardy. She is known for her erotic comics, influenced by the 1950s pin-up aesthetic. After a period as a homemaker, she studied at the Milan School of Comics and published stories for Intrepido. In 1991, she declined an offer to draw football stories but later contributed to the erotic culture magazine Selen and the monthly Blue. Her work gained recognition in the United States with the series Bitch in Heat from Fantagraphics.
