Giorgio Carmelich was an Italian painter born in Trieste on April 12, 1907. He was one of the founders of the Giuliano Futurist movement. Carmelich, whose father owned prominent cafés in Trieste, co-founded a magazine with Emilio Dolfi where they published stories and poems, achieving notable success. In 1923, he established the Giuliano Futurist Movement, and during this period, some of his works were featured in the magazine L'Aurora. His legacy includes being referenced by poet Eugenio Montale in a story titled 'I quadri in cantina'.
