Giichi Fujimoto (January 26, 1933 – October 30, 2012) was a Japanese novelist and radio writer known for his works set in Osaka. He wrote numerous essays and served as the head of the Kansai branch of the Japanese Broadcasting Writers Association. Additionally, he was the president of the Shinsaibashi University, which focused on training professional writers. His family includes his wife, talent Nobuko Fujimoto, and his second daughter, artist Maiko Fujimoto.
