On January 10, 1941, Crespi, alongside two other aircraft, successfully attacked the HMS Southampton, a Town-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy, which was severely damaged and later scuttled. His valor earned him three Silver Medals for Military Valor, highlighting his bravery and contribution during the war.
