Giacomo Conti was an Italian bobsledder and aviator born on June 24, 1918, in Palermo. He competed in the 1950s and served in the Regia Aeronautica during World War II. Conti notably won a gold medal in the two-man bobsleigh event at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo alongside Lamberto Dalla Costa. This achievement marked the only gold medal won by the host team at those Games. He passed away on July 8, 1992, in Verona.
