Gerry McHugh is an Irish Republican politician born on October 9, 1957. He was active in Northern Ireland politics and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Fermanagh and South Tyrone from 1998 to 2003 and again from 2007 to 2011. McHugh was also a Fermanagh District Councillor from 1997 to 2011, having previously represented the Erne East District Electoral Area (DEA) from 1993 to 1997. He was a member of Sinn Féin until his resignation in 2007 and remained independent thereafter.
