Gerrit Jan Jongejans (1914-1982) was a Dutch diplomat who served in various capacities throughout his career. In 1952, he began working at the Dutch embassy in Tokyo, and by 1955, he was appointed as a consul in Hong Kong. He served as Chargé d'Affaires in Beijing from 1965-1966, but was declared persona non grata and expelled from China during a diplomatic incident. Jongejans was also an ambassador in Prague (1967-1970), Jerusalem (1972-1973), and Islamabad (1977-1978).
