Gerrit Glas is a Dutch psychiatrist and philosopher, born on August 31, 1954, in Bennekom. He studied Medicine at the University of Amsterdam and Philosophy at the Vrije Universiteit. Glas has worked as a psychiatrist and became a professor of Reformational philosophy at Leiden University. In 2008, he took the position of Professor of Christian Philosophy at VU University Amsterdam. He is known for his work on anxiety disorders and has contributed to the field of ethics in medicine, co-authoring books on the subject.
