Gerhard Flügge (1914-1972) was a German writer known for his significant contributions to the promotion of Heinrich Zille's works in East Germany as an editor and biographer. He initially worked as a bookseller and later as a clerk. In 1948, he became the head of the urban cultural office in Demmin, where he established a memorial for Zille in collaboration with Zille's daughter. Flügge also organized exhibitions, published several works about Zille, and played a key role in a major exhibition celebrating Zille's 100th birthday in 1958. He moved to Berlin in 1964 and passed away there in 1972.
