Gérard Loridon was a French professional diver born on November 13, 1933, in Boulogne-Billancourt. He was a pioneer in underwater diving, contributing to early underwater activities in the mid-20th century with the private company SOGETRAM and the military organization GERS of the French Navy. After retirement, he founded the Frédéric-Dumas Museum in 1994 with Barthélemy Rotger and dedicated his time to writing books and novels focusing on diving and its history.
