Gérard Bouguyon was a Breton rugby player born in Kimerc'h on November 24, 1935, and he passed away in 2016. He started playing rugby while studying in Paris before going on to play for teams in Grenoble, Toloza, Tarbes, and Bagnères-de-Bigorre. Bouguyon was known for frequently playing in the second row but also played in the first row. He became the first Breton and the 500th player to wear the France national team jersey during a match against South Africa in February 1961.
