Originally a police officer, he also served as a police chaplain and engaged with various local groups. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he expressed beliefs about God's power over the virus and continued to hold services despite restrictions, ultimately contracting the virus. He passed away on April 11, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19, shortly after being hospitalized.
