George Coleman (born George Edward Coleman on March 8, 1935) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer known for his collaborations with legendary artists such as Miles Davis on 'Seven Steps to Heaven', Herbie Hancock on 'Maiden Voyage', and B.B. King. Coleman has also worked with notable musicians including Lionel Hampton, Chet Baker, Elvin Jones, and Lee Morgan. In addition to his collaborations, he has released several albums under his own name, highlighting his contributions to the jazz genre.
