George Chenier was a Canadian snooker player born on January 14, 1907, in Hull, Quebec. He was a dominant figure in North American snooker, holding the title of North American champion from 1947 until 1970. In addition to snooker, he also participated in pool billiards and briefly played on the professional circuit in 1950. His contributions to the sport earned him induction into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. He passed away on November 16, 1970, in Toronto, Ontario.
