George C. Pimentel Age, Birthday, Zodiac Sign and Birth Chart

George Claude Pimentel (May 2, 1922 – June 18, 1989) was a prominent chemist known for inventing the chemical laser and developing matrix isolation techniques in low-temperature chemistry. He proposed the three-center four-electron bond model in theoretical chemistry, which is now widely accepted. In the late 1960s, he led a team at the University of California that designed an infrared spectrometer for the Mariner 6 and Mariner 7 missions to analyze the Martian atmosphere. Pimentel earned his B.S. from UCLA in 1943 and his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 1949, where he taught until his passing.
