Genrikh Yarzhin was a Soviet officer who served as a platoon commander in the 6th rifle company of the 2nd rifle battalion of the 212th Guards Rifle Regiment in the 75th Guards Rifle Division during World War II. He held the rank of Junior Lieutenant and was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union in 1943 for his bravery and leadership in battle. He was born on April 11, 1924, and died on September 25, 1943.
