Gennady Ivanovich Amursky (born August 27, 1929, Tver - died May 29, 2019) was a prominent Russian geologist who earned his doctorate in sciences in 1973 and became a professor in 1980. He was awarded the USSR State Prize in Science and Technology in 1974 and recognized as an Honored Worker of the Gas Industry in 1979. In 1992, he received the title of Honored Worker of Science of the RSFSR, reflecting his contributions to the field.
