Genevra Reed Counihan, born on December 15, 1925, is an American lawyer and politician affiliated with the Democratic Party. She served as a representative for the Fortieth Middlesex district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1975 to 1978, during which she was involved in the urban affairs and public service committees. Although she lost her bid for reelection to John H. Loring by a narrow margin, Counihan continued her civic engagement as a member of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council after her legislative tenure.
