Gen Furusawa was a Japanese novelist born on December 11, 1907, in Iwate Prefecture. Initially known as Tamajiro Furusawa, he contributed to various literary and political movements, participating in proletarian literature. He attended Iwate Prefectural Morioka First High School but was expelled from the Second High School due to political activities. His significant work, 'Kibunshō,' was a candidate for the 12th Naoki Prize. He fell ill and died in a Siberian detention camp in 1946. His contributions are remembered with a literary monument in his hometown.
