Garnik Addarian (1925-1986) was an Armenian expatriate poet, writer, and public figure. A member of the Lebanese Communist Party's central committee since 1980, he was born in Aleppo and died in Beirut. He contributed to Arabic publications and was the author of several books, including the poetry collection 'Abrim-Mernim' (Death of Life, 1968) and the story 'Seif ye Garmir' (Black and Red, 1979). A school in Yerevan is named after him.
