Garib Mammadov is an esteemed Azerbaijani scientist born on January 6, 1947, in Yeniyol, Amasiya region. He is a full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences since 2007 and holds a Doctor of Sciences in Biology, awarded in 1991. Additionally, he is a professor and a full member of the International Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences (2002). He has served as an advisor on agricultural matters for the ANAS since 2016 and heads the Department of Soil Science at Baku State University since 2004.
