Gale de Giberne Sieveking was a British prehistoric archaeologist born on 26 August 1925. He made significant contributions to the study of flint and flint mines, especially at key sites like Grimes Graves. His work played a pivotal role in advancing archaeology as a discipline and deepening the understanding of prehistoric periods. Gale was the son of noted BBC pioneer Lancelot Sieveking and had a half-brother, Paul Sieveking, known for his Fortean writings. Sieveking passed away on 2 June 2007.
