Galagama Sri Aththadassi Thera was a prominent Sri Lankan Buddhist monk who played a crucial role as the 21st Mahanayaka of the Asgiriya Chapter of Siyam Nikaya. He assumed this position on 8 May 2015 after the passing of Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Thero. His tenure lasted until his death on 9 March 2016 at the age of 94 while receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in a fall. His contributions to Buddhism and leadership within the monastic community are widely recognized.
