Gábor Takács-Nagy is a distinguished Hungarian violinist and conductor, born on April 17, 1956, in Budapest. He began studying violin at age 8 and trained at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. A founding member of the Takács Quartet, he later initiated the Takács Piano Trio and Mikrokosmos String Quartet. Over his career, he has served as a conductor for several prestigious orchestras, including the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the MÁV Symphony Orchestra, and became a principal artistic partner of the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
