Gábor Lükő was a Hungarian ethnographer, folklorist, museum curator, and educator. He was originally named Becker until 1927. Born on November 4, 1909, in Komárom, in the former Kingdom of Hungary, he contributed significantly to the study and preservation of Hungarian folklore and culture. Lükő spent much of his life in Budapest, where he died on April 21, 2001. His work influenced the fields of ethnography and museum studies in Hungary, making him a notable figure in these disciplines.
