Hienadz Vasil'evich Ratnikaǔ (January 15, 1935, Vетка, Gomel Region) is a Belarusian art historian. Candidate of Art History (1968). He graduated from the Minsk Pedagogical Institute in 1958, and from 1969 to 1972 he taught there. From 1961 to 1969 and from 1975 he worked at the Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and since 1977 he has also taught at the Belarusian Academy of Arts. He is a member of the Belarusian Union of Literary and Art Critics since 1997, a member of the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers since 1976. He researches the history of Belarusian contemporary cinema, the aesthetics of the artistic image and the psychology of filmmaking.
