Fritz Köpcke was a German football referee born on October 6, 1914, in Peine. He became one of the founders of SG Wusterhausen/Dosse after World War II in 1946. In 1952, he was classified as a referee for the highest football league in East Germany and in 1955 became the first internationally recognized referee from East Germany to join the FIFA list. He officiated two international matches and six European Cup games until 1967. Besides refereeing, he served as the mayor of Wusterhausen/Dosse in the 1960s.
