Freimut Löser is a German medievalist born on April 24, 1954, in Ostheim vor der Rhön. He held the chair of German Language and Literature of the Middle Ages at the University of Augsburg from 2003 to 2021. In addition to his teaching role, he has been the head of the University of Augsburg's work group on Bible translations and religious literature of the Middle Ages since 2020, contributing to the understanding of medieval German literature.
