Fred Koe is a former politician from the Northwest Territories, who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 1995. Born on March 8, 1947, in Aklavik, he faced hardships as a child, including attending a residential school. Koe won a seat in the legislature by defeating Glenna Hansen but lost re-election to Floyd Roland in 1995. After his political career, he became President of the Northwest Territories Development Corporation and later moved to Whitehorse, Yukon. He is also the father of World champion curler Kevin Koe.
