Fred Åke Hannerz was a Swedish provincial doctor born on December 24, 1904, in Österåker, Stockholm. After completing his education in medicine, he became a licensed physician in 1932. Hannerz notably served in various hospitals, ultimately working as a provincial doctor in the Laxå district from 1947 until retirement. He was admired for his holistic approach to patient care and his wit. The local community honored him by naming a park 'Dr Hannerz Park' in 2017. He passed away on September 19, 1978, and is buried at Uppsala old cemetery.
