Fred Agbedi, born on February 20, 1960, is a notable Nigerian educationist and politician from Bayelsa State. He played a key role in the state's formation and was part of the delegation that advocated for its creation. As a member of the House of Representatives, he represents Sagbama/Ek and served as the Bayelsa State chairman of the People's Democratic Party until 2007. Agbedi has contested for the governorship of Bayelsa in 2011 and 2019 but was unsuccessful in both attempts.
